Receptionist Wanted

Urbanity Dance Chicago is hiring for a part-time front desk receptionist. We are looking for a scrappy, resourceful, hard worker who has great communication & writing skills. Applicant must be prepared to join a new, growing, small business and willing to help further refine & solidify our work processes. Training will be provided but some customer service, Wordpress, and booking software (preferably WellnessLiving) is a plus. This position does require in-person shifts, but some tasks may be done remotely.


Applicant needs to be available for the following in person:
Front desk shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30-9:30pm
1 door shift per month for weekend socials from 8:30-11:30pm
In-person work duties include the following:
Calls & emails
Inventory checks
Basic studio maintenance: trash, running the vacuum, cleaning of mirrors, restocking of bathroom
Sales & WellnessLiving Input: accepting payments, processing registrations, updating rosters, inputting subs & cancellations
Work duties that can be done remotely include the following:
WellnessLiving Processes: creating new classes & schedules, finding ways to utilize new functions & automations
Social media re-shares & story creation
Basic Website Updates: adding new monthly calendars, upcoming events, new video content & photos
Implementing volunteer program
